Perivolo Beach
Perivolo beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the northern region of Himara, hidden in olive groves and evergreens, and surrounded by large rocks that create small and wondrous bays.
Unique water colors, clarity of turquoise deep blue and burning orange sunset over the sea, create an amazing show before which everyone should surrender. It’s about a kilometer long and with more than 30 meters of sand. In the early mornings when everything is still, the waves provide a gentle hush, a very sweet music to wake up. During the afternoon the sea changes colors from the very scenic sunset of the area. The beach of Perivolo is located at the northern part of the coastline of Drymades village and has the most amazing sunsets of the region..
The beach of Perivolo is preferred among youngsters mostly because of its night party s and some fantastic music festivals like Turtle Fest and Sound Wave that are hosted here every year. It is very quiet outside the high season and although it can be quite full in the summer months the beach is long enough to find a quiet spot, even in mid-August. For adventurers, the inlets and smaller coves are perfect for a discovery tour, such as the famous northern part that connects with Dhraleo beach. There are a few water sports activities offered by local businesses, hotels, restaurants and many beach bars.
To visit this beach continue the national road after passing the traditional village of Drymades, after a strong turn right turn immediately left and down to the direction of the coast. After a 100 meter follow the sign to the right that Drymades Inn and continue till the end of the road.
