Shpella Beach
This peaceful beach is a great place to relax, as it is quiet place with crystal blue water of Ionian Sea and an enchanting green natural environment.
The coastline of Lukova consist of a variety of small beaches and a large named Shpella (Cave) beach. The way to the beach is long and follows the hills down like a snake road between the olive trees giving it a unique and natural beauty. It has almost turquoise like crystal clear waters with white sand. During the summer the beaches of Lukova are a peaceful escape from the crowded beaches of Drymades and Himara.
Lukova is a great option for a coastal beach holiday if you want a quiet beach but proximity to a decent sized city for shopping and nightlife. There are a few restaurants and cafes operating during summer season but no other kind of activities like water sports are provided here.
There are two restaurants serving seafood and Mediterranean cuisine and no cafes or apartments for rent. Also no water sports or any other kind of water activity.
Ti visit this beach exit the village of Lukova towards Saranda and after 200 meters turn right. Now just follow the snake road leading to the coast where at some point splits, the right way leads to the north part of the beach, Lukova and the left road leads to the beach of Shpella.
On the northern part of the beach is located the homonymous cave of Lukova with its larger part unexplored.
