Buneci beach
A very pretty beach with crystal clear blue water and white sand. Quiet and peaceful. Still pretty much unspoiled.
A small ex-military occupied zone Buneci lies between the village of Piqeras and Lukova, a beautiful beach full of military bunkers built during the communist regime waiting for the unknown enemy. The beach is divided by a small stream which begins up in the mountains surrounding the beach. It’s charming and unspoiled and has some pretty incredible sunsets. This little charmer of a cove is often overlooked by travellers hurrying towards the bright lights of Saranda. This is the beach for those seeking the inner silence that comes with the lull of the waves hitting the shore.
The beach is a good option for those looking for a bit more comfort while remaining in a pleasingly unspoiled place, there are a couple of budget campsites and simple restaurants here, as well as some apartment buildings offering rentals. Apart from that, there’s nothing but the silence and the waves – and that’s the whole point.
To visit this beach, follow the national road from Piqeras to Lukova until you reach the bottom of the hill, just after passing a small glass aquarium, turn right and follow the unpaved road carefully till you reach the beach.
Situated between Piqeras and Lukove this little paradise is still unspoiled.
